When not working, Sylvie enjoys staying active with reformer Pilates classes, weightlifting and playing badminton with friends.
Sylvia started her career as a physiotherapist in musculoskeletal physiotherapy. She provided hands-on treatment to her clients and also taught Clinical Pilates as a private practice physio. In addition to providing physical relief, physiotherapists offer emotional support and self-help strategies to empower their clients to improve their own health, strength, and quality of life.
As a physiotherapist, it's not the physical aspect of the job that excites her the most. Rather, it's the challenges of problem-solving, clinical reasoning, and communication with patients that keep Sylvie engaged. Every person who steps into her room comes with a unique injury, story, and personality that keeps her on her toes. Each patient is different from the other, and she gets the opportunity to interact with people from all walks of life every day.
Sylvie began her women's health training after realizing that many of her musculoskeletal patients were experiencing incontinence and prolapse issues and were unsure where to seek help.
She is interested in learning more about men’s health to be able to help them in the pelvic health area.
