Continence Assessment and Needs Report
Continence treatment services and
toilet training independence
Our pelvic health physiotherapists can conduct Continence Assessments and provide physiotherapy treatments for NDIS participants who are Self-Managed or Plan-Managed.
These services are available for both children and adults.
Our team is happy to assist with any inquiries about our services or appointment bookings.
Please call us to book your NDIS Continence Assessment or Treatment.
Continence Assessments are ONLY available at our Altona North clinic or by Telehealth. Physiotherapy treatments for continence are available at all locations.
Our physiotherapists have expertise in pelvic health, including continence assessments, and providing treatments and recommendations for managing bladder, bowel, prolapse, and pelvic pain.
If you require support with a catheter or stoma bag, unfortunately, our staff are unable to assist and you would need to seek support services from a Registered Continence Nurse.
Our Continence Assessment service is 3-4 hours of assessment and report writing undertaken by our trained continence physiotherapists. This includes a written report for the NDIS on an individual's continence needs, product recommendations and advice.
The Continence Assessment appointments can be via telehealth and/or face-to-face.
1. Initial Appointment: 60 minutes
2. Follow up Appointment: 30 Minutes (2 weeks later)
3. Written Report
We are currently taking bookings for new clients, with no waiting lists.
This is a new service offered by our experienced pelvic health physiotherapists who regularly manage clients' continence issues as part of their treatments. We are a long-standing and well-respected allied health clinic who are expanding their services.
PLEASE NOTE
NDIS Continence Assessment appointments are available ONLY at the Altona North Clinic or via Telehealth.

NDIS, or the National Disability Insurance Scheme, is an initiative funded by the Australian government that offers support and services to individuals with disabilities. Its primary goal is to assist people with disabilities in reaching their aspirations, enhancing their quality of life, and engaging actively in their communities.
Managed by the National Disability Insurance Agency (NDIA), the program is accessible to eligible Australians under the age of 65 who have a permanent and substantial disability.
To be eligible for the NDIS, a person must meet all of the following criteria:
It is essential to understand that eligibility is determined on an individual basis. This process entails collecting information regarding the person's disability and its effects on their daily life. The National Disability Insurance Agency (NDIA) or its representatives are responsible for making these eligibility decisions.
