About Derryn

I am passionate about improving men's sexual function, bladder and bowel health, and addressing conditions such as prostatitis erectile dysfunction, and premature ejaculation. As a male pelvic health Physiotherapist, I'm dedicated to creating a comfortable environment where men can openly discuss these often sensitive issues. My approach combines evidence-based techniques with a thorough understanding of male pelvic health concerns, ensuring personalized and effective treatment plans for each patient.

In addition to my professional pursuits, I am proud to be a member of the Melbourne Chargers, Melbourne's inclusive LGBTQIA+ rugby union team, where I had the honor of serving as captain for many years and playing internationally in the Bingham Cup. These experiences have deepened my understanding of the importance of inclusivity in healthcare, particularly when addressing the sensitive issues related to pelvic health.

Clinical Experience

As a Men's Pelvic Health Physiotherapist, I provide comprehensive care in various areas, including prostatectomy management, urinary incontinence and pelvic girdle pain. I have a particular interest in male sexual health interventions for premature ejaculation and painful ejaculations, as well as managing specialised urogenital conditions such as Peyronie's disease, prostatitis, and erectile dysfunction.

Education

  • Bachelor of Physiotherapy (Honours), Federation University.
